Scope of Projects
Qualifying projects must be aligned with our mission to provide homes that are safe, warm and that meet the homeowner's needs. Projects should improve the quality of life, safety and security for the seniors and/or persons with disabilities who occupy the home.
Repairs generally fall within the skill level of the volunteer groups available. The project must be suitable for available volunteers to complete reasonably within a 1-day project.
These areas of improvement include, but are not limited to:

accessibility modifications

fencing and security modifications

plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical system repairs

stair, roof, porch and other critical structural repairs
Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below criteria to be considered for a Zanno Foundation project:

Own and occupy a home in RI for at least 2 years

Total gross income for the applicant household must not exceed 80% of the area median income of your city or town

Home value does not exceed $300,000.

Mortgage and property/school taxes are up to date

Homeowner's insurance is up to date

Homeowner plans to stay in the home for at least 3 years after the work has been completed
